About Fair Work Claim Co.

HR professionals.
Commission specialists.

Fair Work Claim Co. is a boutique workplace relations agency founded by experienced HR and industrial relations professionals who saw a clear gap in the market: everyday workers were being priced out of Fair Work representation by law firms charging hundreds of dollars an hour for work that doesn't require a legal degree.

We are a small, specialist team — not a factory. Every client works directly with a senior consultant who knows their matter inside out. We know the Fair Work Commission because we've spent years inside workplaces, managing disputes, and understanding exactly how employers and their legal teams operate.

Under the Fair Work Act, you are entitled to be represented by anyone you choose — including experienced HR professionals like us. That's not a loophole. It's by design. The Commission was built to be accessible, and we exist to make sure it actually is.

Our team has handled matters across a broad range of industries — from hospitality and construction to healthcare, retail, and professional services. We know how different sectors operate, what arguments land, and how to build a case that gets results.

Why Fair Work Claim Co.

You don't need a lawyer.
You need a fighter.

01

Authorised Representatives

Under the Fair Work Act, you don't need a lawyer to represent you in the Commission. Our experienced HR and workplace professionals are fully authorised to appear on your behalf.

02

Fraction of Legal Costs

Law firms charge hundreds per hour — often billing $5,000–$15,000+ on simple matters. Our fixed fees put expert representation within reach of everyone.

03

We Know How Employers Think

Our background is in HR and industrial relations — we understand exactly how employers and their advisers approach these matters — and we use that knowledge to your advantage.

04

No Jargon. No Runaround.

We tell you exactly where you stand from day one. No inflated expectations, no vague updates — just clear, honest strategy and relentless execution.

The Fair Work Commission is not a court.

It's an independent tribunal designed to be accessible. You are legally entitled to be represented by someone who isn't a lawyer — and for most matters, that's all you need.

Our representatives have years of HR, industrial relations, and Commission experience. We know the process. We know the commissioners. We know how to win.

Common Questions

Straight answers.
No spin.

Do I need a lawyer to go to the Fair Work Commission?
No. The Fair Work Act explicitly allows parties to be represented by non-lawyers, including HR professionals and industrial relations consultants. In many cases, non-lawyer representation is just as — or more — effective than legal representation.
What is the deadline for an unfair dismissal claim?
21 days from the date of your dismissal taking effect. Missing this deadline means your application will almost certainly be rejected. If you're close to the limit, contact us immediately — we can act fast.
What happens at conciliation?
Conciliation is a confidential telephone or video conference facilitated by the Commission. A conciliator helps both sides negotiate. The vast majority of Fair Work matters resolve at this stage. We'll prepare you and represent you throughout.
What if my matter doesn't settle at conciliation?
If you're on the Full Representation package, we continue with you to the formal hearing. If you started on Lodge & Conciliate, you can upgrade to Full Representation at a set top-up fee.
Who do you represent?
We represent employees only. If you've been unfairly dismissed, had your workplace rights violated, experienced bullying or harassment, or need support through a Fair Work Commission process — we're in your corner.
Are all fees really fixed? No hidden costs?
Yes. What we quote is what you pay for our representation. There are some Commission filing fees payable directly to the Fair Work Commission (currently $79.80 for most applications, waived for some concession holders) which are separate from our fees.
